Suki Skincare

Today I'm blogging about a skincare line I discoverd. First let me start off by saying that when I moved to Louisiana 3 years ago my under control skin reverted to it's teenage ways and broke out to the tenth power! I went through multiple products, some of which worked but got discontinued, and was even put on prescription meds like Retin-A. The Retin-A was wonderful at getting rid of acne but horrible at aggravating my rosacea and drying out my sensitive skin, making it peel and burn constantly. Along came Birchbox with some samples of Suki Face skincare. One of the samples was a product called Pure Facial Moisture- Balancing. As soon as I opened the sample packet I thought,"Great, another. face oil :(". I haven't been a fan of oil moisturizers since I jumped on the "argan oil" train and regretted it because it broke my face out so badly. Reluctantly, I used the oil before I went to bed and the next morning I woke with my skin totally calm, smooth, and hydrated! Every inflamed breakout was reduced so much so that all I was left with was a small spot. Also unlike other moisturizers my skin wasn't overly oily when I woke. This product has single handedly saved my skin!! I have never had such dramatic results from a skincare product after a single use that I would go purchase it immediately! At first I was a little worried that eventually it might break me out but I am relieved to say that I have been using this moisturizer for about 3 months and my skin never broke out as a result, it has only improved! I am beyond thrilled to have discovered this skincare line and will never be without this product! Suki Skincare was formulated for all sensitive skin types (acne, rosacea, dermatitis-prone, and eczema) so if you have sensitive/problematic skin I cannot recommend this product enough! Suki Skincare is a small company started in 2002 by Suki Kramer and is located in Northhapton, Ma. If you go on youtube you can even find videos of the inside workings of her business and watch her hand pour her Lip Repair Butter, talk about hands on! All of her products are 100% natural, vegan, synthetic-free, and made in the USA.




Description: According to the packaging it is a light, breathable, normalizing complexion oil. Recommended for nighttime use. It is for all skin types especially formulated for acne-prone skin, combination to oily, and sensitive skin types. It helps fight bacteria, calms irritation, soothes sensitivities, balances oil production, moisturizes without clogging pores or feeling greasy. The oil does have a moderately strong herbal scent. I mostly smell lavender and possibly the echinacea but I don't detect it after a few minutes so that is something to note if you are sensitive to scents. It also states on the website that you can use this as a daytime moisturizer for some skin conditions. This product retails for $32.95 for 0.50 oz.

Sorry for the cheesy pics, I am wearing a little makeup in them but you can still tell how smooth my complexion is and that is all result if the Pure facial moisture- Balancing.
The gist: This stuff is amazing!!! I believe it follows through on every claim it makes and in the wide world of skincare that is a rarity. It has calmed and soothed my skin especially when it is inflamed or I get an occasional breakout. I believe it does help fight bacteria because my breakouts have reduced drastically ( I still do get some here and there but I believe that they are from stress or hormones not as a result of using this oil). Another thing that I have to brag on is that my skin has been a lot less oily since I started using this, so much so that I have considered using if during the day. This stuff is on the pricey side but it has lasted me almost nearly 3 months using 4-5 drops a night on my neck, face, and chest so that equals out to a little over $10 a month and in my opinion totally worth it! I wish i had taken a before pic of my skin when it was really bad so i could show you how well it works :/ .
